Jadis Cheng

Jadis Cheng, born in 1973, Taiwan. He practiced spatial and light designing. He found titanium as customizing furniture in 2000 and began his career of delicate works for identifiable arts. He set up DESIGNBURG in 2000 and presented the beauty of the material and arts through the cross-field designing. He took part in the gift designing project of National Palace Museum in Taiwan in 2005. His бзtitaniumби series of modern jewelry designing and arts won both domestic and foreign recognition and favor in Tokyo Munich and Swiss Basel international jewelry exhibition.

Jadis Cheng is good at showing the original features of materials, such as the well-executed hard metal and the curved line of soft materials. He challenges the limit of crafts, combines various materials, and creates modern works featuring contemporary identification. He does now follow the mythology of precious metal in the one-thousand-year history. Instead, he tries modern materials with various features, such as titanium, stainless steel, lazurite, Taiwanese serpentine, walnut, and glazed leather. He integrates the integral arts into the concepts of life and leaves records for the modern age. He hopes to create artist works representing human mind.
